*The Blue Silver Pack"
"Are you ever going to stop being a slave to the alpha?" Aurora asked her brother. "It's been years and he still thinks of you as nothing but a slave, Clint."
"I don't care how long it takes, but I know one day I'll sit at the alpha's table as a friend and nothing less! Aren't you tired of working your ass off for the pack every single day!?" He screams slamming his fist on the table. "Even the little kids know you as the pack's sweetheart, the one who runs to the aid of everyone even if she's neglected when she needs help. Cos I'm fucking tired of being just a dog!! We're wolves for moon's sake."
"I'm sorry Clint," Aurora pleads.
"I'm just trying to regain the trust the pack had in us before our Dad betrayed the alpha's father," Clint says as he walks out of the room.
Aurora was a kind wolf and the pack's darling, always helping out wherever she could. Her father who was the beta had betrayed the former alpha, Sirius, and had been executed alongside her mother. The alpha exiled her and her brother but were both allowed back into the community by James, the present alpha after the death of Sirius in battle. They never could retain the pack's trust in their family even as Clint goes as far as doing the alpha's dirty work in a bid to win back their trust.
"What's wrong? You look down" Rebecca, Aurora's childhood friend and her brother's mates asks. "Another fight with Clint?"
"It was just a little squabble, nothing for you to bother with," Aurora replied.
"You know he's doing this for both of you right? He'll never do anything to hurt you Avy"
"Yes, but not when it feels like he is more interested in sitting at the table than regaining their trust." She says as she walks past Rebecca, leaving the room.
"You know he loves you, Aurora, everyone knows," Rebecca shouts after her.
Aurora walks down to the packhouse where the children were waiting for their daily training. The Blue Silver pack had a history of early shifting in children which made them easier and weaker targets for poachers, rogue wolves, and enemy wolves too. This made the current alpha mandate that the children learn basic defense and offense skills for battle instead of waiting until they were 18. Aurora worked as a support for the Beta, Brent who rumor has it convinced Jacob the alpha into bringing back Aurora and Clint. He had personally requested that she worked as his assistant as it was public knowledge that he has always had feelings for her.
"Good morning, B" She greeted him with a smile as she walked into the gym which was built specially for the children.
"I see my assistant is having so much of a great day and decided to become a rebel." He teased her. "Why are you late today, Avy?"
"I got caught up with the chores and forgot. I'm sorry it won't happen again."
"It's okay, you know better than apologizing to me." He said as he rubbed down her back.
Brent is known to be a huge flirt and has mated with countless women. He was a twin and suffered from a rare condition of not having a mate because the other half of his wolf was his twin which left them both mateless. His well-shaped eyebrows, pronounced torsos, and broad shoulders didn't help as he didn't have any trouble getting women to lay with him. Everyone knew he had eyes for Aurora but for some reason hasn't told her yet.
"Thank you." She said anxiously and moved to arrange the equipment and organized the children.
Aurora has always wanted to be whisked away by her mate in the most romantic fashion but had grown tired of waiting. She had considered giving in to Brent since he was not only hot but romantic also. She had even dreamt of having kids with him and living in a house of their own with gardens and a backyard large enough to host parties. One more look at him, covered in sweat which made his already bulging muscles look more profound and were enough to make her nipples hard. ShShbit her lips trying not to make a sound as she thought of how big his manhood was going to be.
"We'll be reducing the training time for the kids as they have to assist the pack in preparing for winter," Brent said, snapping her out of her daydream.
"Oh, okay." A flustered Aurora replied.

Rebecca walks in on Clint packing his bags and getting ready to leave as a spy for the alpha to a northern pack.
"Why do you always have to do the dirty work? Why can't one of the alpha's so-called trusted men act as spies?" A worried Rebecca asked as she assisted him in packing his bags.
